After seeing Kawah Putih, spend a few hours exploring the green countryside just down the road. You can feed Javanese deer, visit tea fields, and relax by an alpine lake.
Most visitors group Kawah Putih with other sights in the Ciwidey area to make a full day trip from Bandung. The surrounding highlands offer vast tea plantations, animal conservation centers, and calm lakes.
Because these spots are close to the crater, adding them to your itinerary requires very little extra driving. Plan for about 3 to 4 additional hours to see the main sights before heading back to the city.

Rolling hills covered in green tea leaves surround the roads near the volcano. You can pull over on the roadside to take free photos of the fields. For a closer look, visit a nearby factory for a tasting session.

This alpine lake sits surrounded by tea fields and features a restaurant built to look like a massive wooden Pinisi ship. You can rent a small boat to explore the water. Alternatively, grab a meal at the restaurant and enjoy the view.

This 215-hectare protected forest runs a Javanese deer breeding program. Visitors can walk into the enclosure and hand-feed carrots to the free-roaming deer. The facility also functions as a local camping ground.
